The difference between vector based image production and pixel based image production? A vector uses vectors and lines to create graphics and use two end points. Pixel puts a picture in a sized window. Size depends on the number of pixels, rather than vector. Resolution dependent is when you can have things in different sizes independent from the pixels. Independent Resolution is when you can restrain your image in the size of the browser.

  1. The description is a little confusing. I think you have resolution dependent and independent mixed up. If an image is resolution dependent (pixels), its clarity and quality is based on its resolution, and increasing the size will cause it to look blurry, boxy, or 'pixelated'. If an image is resolution independent (vectors), changing the size or resolution of the image won't decrease the quality, because the image is independent of its resolution. Vector images are resolution independent due to their use of mathematical equations instead of pixels.
